Speakers and discussants

Sebastian Schneeweiss is Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Harvard Medical School and Vice Chief of the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics, Department of Medicine, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is also Principal Investigator at Brigham and Women’s Hospital DEcIDE Research Center (Developing Evidence to Inform Decisions about Effectiveness), which is funded by the Federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. His main area of study is pharmacoepidemiology and outcomes research, with a special interest in the comparative safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products and epidemiological methods for using electronic databases.
