Cristina Herrero

Graduate in Economics and Business Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid. She is an active member of the Senior State Comptrollers and Auditors Staff and is on leave of absence from the Senior State Tax Inspectors Staff.

In 2020 she was appointed Chairwoman of AIReF and has been a member of the AIReF team since its creation as Director of the Budgetary Analysis Division since 2014. Previously, she had held various positions within the Public Administration, such as Head of Department in the General Sub-Directorate of Analysis and Economic Accounts of the Public Sector, Coordinator of the preparation of national accounts of the Public Administration sector, or General Sub-Directorate of Budgetary Analysis and Institutional Organisation of the Autonomous Public Sector of the General Secretariat of Autonomous and Local Coordination
